Frosty Mountain Trail

We did this trail during the week in early October. At 22 km return, it’s a fair distance, but is a very popular fall hike due to the beautiful golden larches – an alpine tree with vibrant yellow needles. The elevation gain is 1200 m, and reaching the summit of Frosty Mountain provides fantastic views of the larches, surrounding mountains in Manning Park, and the dramatic US mountain peaks to the south.
