Yamnuska Ridge
This was a great hike between Canmore and Calgary. It featured some interesting rocky parts, a challenging path down from the top of the ridge, and a super fun descent down a massive scree slope. We had done wild camping the night before so were able to start nice and early.
Pedley Pass
A spectacular late-June hike near Invermere. The forest road to the trailhead took about half an hour due to the low clearance of the van! I went early in the morning and had the tarn all to myself.
Wilmer Wetlands
This short hike is partway between Edgewater and Invermere. We had low expectations but were really impressed with the unobstructed views along the Rocky Mountain Trench. Some light rain during the hike, but the clouds added to the scenery!
